How it Works

The GolfNorth Junior Skills Challenge features three key events: driving, chipping, and putting. Each participant will test their abilities and accumulate points based on performance.
Driving
  • Each player gets 3 drives.
  • Points are awarded based on distance and accuracy within a 30-yard width.
  • Drives must reach a minimum distance of 60 yards to earn points.
Chipping
  • Competitors take 3 chip shots towards a marked target with 10-foot, 6-foot, and 3-foot circles.
  • Points are awarded based on the proximity of the chip to the hole.
Putting
  • Competitors take 1 putt each from distances of 5, 10, and 20 feet.
  • Points are awarded for holing the putt and for proximity to the hole.

Participants scores are recorded by GolfNorth on behalf of the participant in the official Golf Canada competition, with a chance to move on to the Provincial Qualifiers and ultimately the National Final!
For full scoring information, see the Golf Canada website: juniorskillschallenge.ca/setup-scoring
